Since CNN got greedy, (iykyk) I now only open the app to listen to nightly broadcasts while cooking dinner, but now the greedy only allows ~15 mins of audio with 50% of it advertising, so I really only get ~ 7 mins of content before it stops. Can't press play to restart, instead, I've got to exit the broadcast and re-select it to continue. I'm switching to AP for news, it's free and ads pre-video are <15 seconds! CNN was my fav news source for 40 yrs, until greed turned it into trash!

This is supposed to be a very good news source, but I had to disable all of its functions in my security settings for this app. No wifi access. No data access, no background activity, and no permissions, not even notifications. I found that everything disabled the notifications and background battery was still active. The notifications were still sending popups. Some software is targeted to turn these functions back on unexpectedly on your device. Be weary.
