Every time I switch apps, Letterboxd disappears. If I'm in the middle of writing a review, all my work is gone when I re-open the app. I think I'll be switching to the browser version for writing reviews until this is sorted out.

new UI looks very good, but it's less functional. the back button doesn't work half the time. the plus button is gone from the film page, so I have to reach up to the top corner of the screen to open that popup. touching and holding on search results doesn't open the popup anymore either.

The recent self-immolation of this app has been traumatic to witness as an android user

The older version of the app was fantastic, it was easy to use and aesthetically pleasing. Now it's hard to navigate, doesn't load consistently, and it's lost the fluidity that I used to love the app for. At this point it's easier just going to the website on mobile.

The new UI has rendered the android app completely unusable. If I get really really lucky I can get to the movie I just watched and log it. But that's it. The app freezes if I try to do anything else. And most of the time I can't even do that. It freezes trying to load the home page. Absolutely killed a fantastic app. 1 Star until it's fixed.

I love letterboxd, hate this app. it really feels like no one actually tested this latest update, it feels so unfinished. Navigation totally doesn't work with Android's back button half the time. Hiding reviews feels like a slap in the face to the community, as reviews are the thing that makes Letterboxd unique; otherwise, you're just another IMDb clone. I wonder if there was a brain drain on the dev team after the sale to private investors. It certainly feels that way.
