I am SO tired of having to make an account just to use basic features. I know there has to be some kind of 'cloud' to remote in. But if I don't want to use the cloud, I know for a fact they can make it local as that has been done by many in the past. I don't like the mid 2025 update that changed the graph to a running 24 hour comparison instead a full day which was a little easier to compare the days energy usage for the DAY, NOT 24 hours.

I thought my water heater was failing. Turns out it was the app not properly saving my schedule and resetting to a lower temperature. I have tried everything to get the app to save my temperature and schedule and it constantly resets to the previous temperature setpoints.

You used to be able to schedule the water heater to turn completely off, say during peak energy times, now you can just set it to 110 as the lowest temperature. Overall the app is okay, but definitely not worth buying this water heater for. The interface is at a level of a school project, not a professional company.

Ap works but very basic. Also, it has bugs like the setting for the schedule does not copy to other days, even though it states so. needs to be updated

The app is useless. I am not a novice in remote sensing and control this is the worst functioning app. Rheem should be ashamed. This is what you get when you buy American. For my purposes it makes this water heater useless I could have saved a lot of money buying a regular electric heater with a timer. I am tired of cold showers.
