In it's early days SoundHound used to work quite well. But with just a hint of background noise it fails to identify most songs these days unless the music is the only thing playing. It barely ever works to identify songs now. You'd think in the days of music played with content or at a loud restaurant, SoundHound would've adapted and figured a way to identify songs in the background like YouTube videos or busy settings. A completely useless app.

This app is truly amazing. It can identify songs in a matter of seconds, never had it fail me yet. While the ads aren't that intrusive, I got the paid version because the developer truly deserves the support. As a matter of fact, I'm so impressed that I bought stock in the company (to be clear I gave my first 5 Star review of Sound Hound almost a year before investing.... my positive review is not for personal gain, but purely to give an honest opinion for anyone considering getting the app.

I have been using this app on and off for about 10 years and I can tell you with complete certainty that it is the absolute worst song identifier that is available to the public.
