I've been using this app since 2017 and I absolutely love it. I have no complaints nor recommendations to make it better. if your looking for a good app to text people from and have personalized sounds and what not. this is 100% the app for you!

updating my review. Help did assist me last time. But now many users are experiencing problems with contacts making a silent notification. The last update is corrupted. It will show muted when you go into settings for the person and unmuted when you exit. And visa versa. I switched to Google messaging. Better resolution and when I checked my contact it said I had set it their notification to my Default which was Silent. I never made my default silent. Hopefully they work out the bugs.

I am quite satisfied with Textra - it suites my needs. I can dictate or type, attach images, mass delete either specific texts or whole conversations. it connects well with my contacts. it is not taking up too much of my memory though I have a lot of messages.

All of a sudden, just last couple of days, it cannot send or receive photos. And yes, I have the current version. And this is still true. Above problem was fixed and now it works wonderfully!

Only sms app on play store without intrusive ads and it works flawlessly. With RCS dying all around the world, this is best replacement for google sms app.

Multi-year loyal Textra user here. Love the ability to send any emoji as a reaction! Please release the version that makes it so that the one I select is what's used. In the worst case, my reaction emoji (ποΈ) was something like 15 spaces off, meaning I had to, through trial and error, keep updating my reaction with one that is not my desired response until ποΈ showed up as the reaction. Usually it's only 2 off, but this was egregious and unwieldy.
